Four Zone Wiring Center
All loops must be connected
1. How the wiring center works
The oil/gas boiler heats all zones through the time clock and thermostat.
When the solid fuel boiler turns on, the wiring center automatically turns the oil/gas boiler off and heats DHW Zone 1, which is controlled by a thermostat, and Zone 2, Zone 3 and Zone 4 are controlled through the time clock and thermostat.
2. Underfloor heating and radiators
A second safety bypass pipe thermostat must be installed on the gravity flow and set at approximately 70°C.
Connect the thermostat power inlet to terminal 81 and the thermostat power outlet to terminal 35 on the wiring center .
If the gravity flow exceeds 70°C, the pipe thermostat will open Zone 3 to the radiators. The time clock and thermostat control Zone 4.
3. DHW priority: switching off radiators
Install the second safety bypass pipe thermostat as described above. Connect its power inlet to terminal 73 and its power outlet to terminal 25 on the wiring center .
Install an isolation switch with a light in a convenient, visible position so the customer can prioritise domestic hot water.
Connect the isolation switch power inlet to terminal 73 and its power outlet to terminal 25.
If the gravity flow exceeds 70°C, the pipe thermostat will open Zone 2 to heat the radiators. The time clock and thermostat control Zones 3 and 4.
4. DHW priority: switching off underfloor heating and radiators
Install the second safety bypass pipe thermostat as described above. Connect its power inlet to terminal 73 and its power outlet to terminal 25 on the wiring center .
Install an isolation switch with a light in a convenient, visible position so the customer can prioritise domestic hot water.
Connect the isolation switch power inlet to terminal 81 and its power outlet to terminal 35.
